Aberdeen is a city in the American state of Washington. Aberdeen was founded by Samuel Benn in 1884. In 2020, 17,013 people lived in Aberdeen.[1] Aberdeen is sometimes called the "Gateway to the Olympic Peninsula". It is also called the "Birthplace of Grunge" because musician Kurt Cobain is from Aberdeen.[2] Other notable musicians from Aberdeen include The Melvins. Aberdeen is also the hometown of professional wrestler Bryan Danielson, better known as Daniel Bryan.
