Anne Cambon-Thomsen
Anne Cambon-Thomsen , (born 9 November 1949 Toulouse) is a French doctor specializing in human immunogenetics and bioethics . She was awarded the National Order of Merit in 1998, and Legion of Honor in 2018.[1]
Life change
From 1985 to 1990, she directed a research unit at the National Institute of Health and Medicine ( Inserm ) in human immunology and immunogenetics. From 1987 to 1997, she headed the research center on genetic polymorphism of human populations and the center for immunopathology and human genetics at the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS).[2] She was emeritus research director at the CNRS in the Epidemiology and Public Health at Toulouse III University .[3]
In 1991, she published a study on the genetic origins of the French provinces, based work started in 1980 with Elie Ohayon .[4]
In 2002, she spoke at the University of All Knowledge and in 2018 on BFM TV on Crispr.[5]
She is a member of the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies which advises the European Commission.[6] In 2018, she was named Champion of the EuroScience Open Forum (ESOF) in Toulouse.[7]
