Arnold Dix

Arnold Dixis an Australian underground expert.[1] He lives in Monbulk, Australia.[2]

Early life change

Dix is an engineering professor, scientist, and barrister.[3] He graduated from Melbourne's Monash University with a degree in science and law.[4]

Professional career change

Dix is the president of the Geneva-based International Tunnelling and Underground Space Association.[2][5][6]

He specializes in transit infrastructure and subterranean systems.[7]

He was invited by the British Tunnelling Society to give the Harding Lecture on current global tunneling concerns every two years in 2008.

In 2020, Underground Works Chambers was founded by Dix, Lord Robert Mair, and the Honorable Peter Vickery QC.

In 2023, Dix proved to be a hero during the Uttarakhand tunnel rescue.[8][9][10][11] He received recognition from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for his work during the rescue operations.[12]
