Ballyhaunis

Ballyhaunis is a town in County Mayo. It is Ireland's most diverse town. It has the first purpose-built mosque in Ireland. It was built in 1986. A halal meat plant was built there by a Pakistani businessman in the 1970s. In 2023 40% of the population was born abroad. [1]
