Charissa Thompson

American sportscaster

Charissa Jean Thompson[1] (born May 4, 1982) is an American television host and sportscaster. As of May 2022, she works for Fox Sports. Previously, Thompson worked for ESPN, Versus, GSN and the Big Ten Network. She was the co-host of SportsNation with Marcellus Wiley until June 2013.[2] She became the host of Fox Sports Live on the new Fox Sports 1 network on August 17, 2013. She also was one of the hosts of Ultimate Beastmaster. From 2014 to 2017, Thompson was a co-host on the syndicated entertainment news program Extra. Thompson was the host of Rockies All Access and WNBA Weekly and covered sports for the Denver Pioneers. Thompson also hosted The 2007 MLB All-Star Game Red Carpet Parade and The Baseball Report. She also hosted BCS Breakdown, Toughest Cowboy, the BCS Show, and Friday Night Tailgate for FSN as well as a co-host for Big Saturday Night for the Game Show Network as well as Big Ten's Best for the Big Ten Network. She also did reporting for Shaq vs. as well as an ice-level reporter for the NHL on Versus with Mike Emrick and Eddie Olczyk. Thompson hosted NFL Now Updates and Fast Track to Fame. She replaced Michele Breade as co-host of SportsNation with Colin Cowher.
