Dachigam National Park

Dachigam National Park is a national park in India. It is 22 kilometres (14 mi) from Srinagar, the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir. The park covers an area of 141 square kilometres (54 sq mi). The name of the park means "ten villages".

History change

The park has been a protected area since 1910. It was first created to ensure a supply of clean drinking water for the city of Srinagar. It was declared a National Park in 1981.
