Summary
DescriptionLight spectrum on a wall caused by sunlight going through prism and then handmade glass.jpg |
Scattered resp. distorted light spectrum on a wall - caused by sunlight going through a glass crystal (acting as an optical prism) at a window, and then after c. 6 meters, through the lampshade of a candleholder having an irregular thickness. Size of this spectrum on the wall from bottom to top only about 7 cm, hence the image is strongly enlarged. The whole phenomenon was not intended, but resulted coincidentally from the positions of the items in the room on a sunny day. Due to the earth rotation, the spectrum on the wall disappeared after only some minutes during which the pictures were taken, and was since never observed again. |
