English: Poem by Tenchi Tennô: Onzôshi Ushiwakamaru, from the series Ogura Imitations of One Hundred Poems by One Hundred Poets (Ogura nazorae hyakunin isshu). Woodblock print (nishiki-e). The Poem says: "Aki no ta no/ kariho no io no/ toma o arami/ waga koromode wa/ tsuyu ni nuretsutsu."(Note: This is Ushiwakamaru who sings the song of Emperor Tenji, not the picture of Emperor Tenji)
日本語: 「小倉擬百人一首　天智天皇　御曹子牛若丸」。詩：秋の田の　かりほの庵の　苫をあらみ　わが衣手は　露にぬれつつ、牛若丸　一年奥羽へ下り玉ふ頃　三河国矢矧の長が家に止宿し　娘浄瑠璃姫と糸竹を合曲深く契りをかハせしことハ　世の人能知る所なり、柳下亭種員筆記。（注記：これは天智天皇の絵ではなく天智天皇の歌を歌う牛若丸です）
