John 3:16 (chapter 3, verse 16 of the Gospel of John) is a verse from the Christian Bible.[1] It has been called the "Gospel in a nutshell."[2] It is also thought to be one of the most important doctrines of Christianity.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
