Luol Deng
South Sudanese-British basketball player
Luol Deng (born 16 April 1985) is a former South Sudanese-born British professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for the Chicago Bulls (2004–2014), the Cleveland Cavaliers (2014), the Miami Heat (2014–2016), the Los Angeles Lakers (2016–2018) and the Minnesota Timberwolves (2018–2019).[1] He became a British citizen in 2006, and played for the Great Britain national team. He played college basketball for the Duke Blue Devils.

Deng was born in Wau, Sudan (now South Sudan). His father is politician Aldo Deng. His older brother, Ajou Deng, was also a basketball player.
