Mauro Benevides

Carlos Mauro Cabral Benevides (born 21 March 1930) is a Brazilian politician and lawyer. He is a member of the Brazilian Democratic Movement Party. Benevides was born in Fortaleza, Brazil.

From 1959 to 1975, he was a member of the state legislature of Ceará. From 1975 until 1983 and again from 1987 until 1995, Benevides was a member of the Senate representing Ceará. From 1991 to 1993, he was the President of the Federal Senate.

From 2007 to 2015, Benevides was a member of the Chamber of Deputies.^[1]
