Nocardiosis

infectious disease affecting either the lungs (pulmonary nocardiosis) or the whole body (systemic nocardiosis)

Nocardiosis is a disease caused by the bacterium Nocardia Asteroides. It causes a dangerous form of pneumonia. It affects the lungs, brain and skin.[1] It affects mainly people with a weakened immune system, such as people with HIV/AIDS, chronic lung disease, cancer or people who have had a transplant.[1]
