1972 book by John Yudkin on the damages caused by the increase in sugar consumption

Pure, White and Deadly is a 1972 book by John Yudkin, a British nutritionist and former Chair of Nutrition at Queen Elizabeth College, London.[1] The book is mainly about speaking out against sugars and its harmful effects, such as obesity and heart disease. The book and other research done by Yudkin has been mocked by the sugar industry despite the proof from other studies.
