Ron Johnson

American politician (born 1955)

Ronald Harold "Ron" Johnson (born April 8, 1955) is the senior United States Senator for Wisconsin and a member of the Republican Party. He is associated with the Tea Party movement. Prior to his election to the Senate, he was chief executive officer of PACUR, LLC, a polyester and plastics manufacturer.[1]

In October 2016, Johnson announced that he would not run for re-election in 2022.[2]

Johnson was born on April 8, 1955 in Mankato, Minnesota. He is of a Norwegian-German. He studied at the University of Minnesota. Johnson is married to Jane Johnson. They have three children.

In October 2020, Johnson was diagnosed with COVID-19.[3]
