The song was able to make it to #9 on the Rock/Alternative RPM chart, #8 on the Modern Rock Track and #48 on the Radio Songs Billboard charts, and #76 on the ARIA Charts.[1][2][3] Spin ranked the song #14 on their list of The 95 Best Alternative Rock Songs of 1995.[4]

The song is about a couple. The man decides to head out on tour. She leaves him because she feels like the relationship is not working and that he would rather continue his music career than be with her.

A music video for the song was released. In the video, the band plays in a room. A man sits on a bed alone in a room. The band sits in a living room. The man leaves his apartment and the band walk down a sidewalk.

Professional wrestler Ruby Soho was given permission by Lars Frederiksen to use the name and the song as her entrance music in All Elite Wrestling (AEW). Rancid played a live version of the song during Ruby's entrance at Double or Nothing in 2022.[5]
