Sergei Mavrodi
Russian criminal and former deputy of the State Duma (1955-2018)
Sergei Panteleevich Mavrodi (Russian: Серге́й Пантеле́евич Мавро́ди; 11 August 1955 – 26 March 2018[1]) was a Russian financial fraudster and politician. He served as a deputy of the State Duma from 1994 to 1995. He was the founder of the МММ series of pyramid schemes.

Mavrodi died of a heart attack at the age of 62 in Moscow.[1][2]
