Sofia Rotaru

Soviet and Ukrainian musician, singer, songwriter, actress, author of Moldovan origin

Sofia Mihailovna Evdokimenko-Rotaru (born in Marshintsy, Novoselitskiy Rayon, Chernivtsi Oblast, Ukraine on August 7, 1947), simply known as Sofia Rotaru, is a popular Russian, Ukrainian, Moldavian and formerly Soviet singer, actress and producer.

Rotaru now lives in Ukraine. She has made many albums over the years; some of the more famous ones are Ballade About Violins, Lavender (Lavanda), and I Still Love You.
