Spencer, South Dakota

Spencer is a city in the eastern part of the U.S. state of South Dakota. It is located in McCook County, and 136 people lived there at the 2020 census.[4] Spencer became a city in 1917.[5] On the night of May 30, 1998, a tornado rated F4 on the Fujita scale struck the city. It killed six people and destroyed most of the buildings in the city.[6]
