"removed 'respiration is breathing' - that's ventilation"--to a scientist, sure, and especially when talking about cellular respiration. But to the average Joe, the gas exchange meaning of "respiration" is largely synonymous with "breathing"[1]. Unless we move this to cellular respiration and create the disamb page and respiration (physiology), like the EN structure, I think that breathing should be referred to here. Types of Respiration change

There are two types of cellular respiration - aerobic (with Oxygen)and anaerobic (without Oxygen). I would like to suggest creating a page for each of them or adding information to this page.

Balanced equation for aerobic respiration change

The equation shown is not balanced and should read

C6H12O6 + 6O2 → 6CO2 + 6H2O + Energy (as ATP)

I'm not confident in my editing abilities to make this change to the page. 142.23.116.250 (talk) 19:49, 5 November 2009 (UTC) C ThompsonReply

Thank you for pointing that out! Your right it would be much better to keep the equation balanced. Please feel free to join us to become more confident in your abilities. Jamesofur (talk) 19:52, 5 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Merge Cellular Respiration with Respiration change

The two pages are essentially the same, with one shorter than the other, and discuss the same topic, so it makes sense to merge them into one article.
