Alaska change

"The Continental United States is the area of the United States of America comprising the 48 states that are south of Canada and north of Mexico (known as the "lower 48 states"), plus Alaska. The Continental United States does not include Alaska, the state of Hawaii (as they are Pacific Ocean islands), or any other territories under the control of the United States."

The first sentence says Alaska is part of it. The second sentence says it isn't. Which is it? 107.213.101.27 (talk) 07:02, 18 December 2013 (UTC)Reply

CONUS change

probably should be noted here the military term CONUS does not include Alaska. Need to hunt down a better source though.
