Review change

Hey there! This article is quite well-written overall, but I had a few comments to make. :) I hope they aren't too much!

  • The IOC is also responsible for choising what sports are in the games. <- "choising"? Perhaps you meant "choosing".
      Fixed
  • The origin of these Olympics is shrouded in mystery and legend. <- perhaps you can link legend? Also, "shrouded" seems rather unsimple (even if it does seem to be in the list of Basic English words).
  • "These games were unfair in nature since only Men could compete" <- I don't understand this. Isn't the Olympic Games only supposed to be for "Men"? So why is it unfair? And why is the "M" capital? Explanation, please. :)
  • "Refurbishment" seems to be much to complex for my taste - can you replace it with a simpler word?
  • "The Greek officials and public were excited about hosting these Games" <- this needs a reference.
  • "resignation" should be linked to wiktionary or simplified, as it seems complex to me.
  • "shrouded in controversy" might be unsimple for our readers.
  • A lot of references are invalid, and should be fixed.

Well, there are much more red links and hard words, but I unfortunately don't have time to write more comments. I hope these are addressed soon! Love, Bella tête-à-tête 09:26, 4 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Removed main page links which do not exist change

I've removed all of the main page links which do not have a valid link. There is no need to link to non-existent articles.
Also I think that there are far too many red links for this article. --Leaderboard (talk) 13:43, 15 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

WHY QD? change

Why? Seriously? This is notable and shows no signs of vandalism. Elytrian - Talk 06:16, 12 August 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sorry @Elytrian:, it was a bad manipulation. —Eihel (talk) 08:20, 14 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
