Talk:Sam T. Francis

If this article fails in its neutrality then I am perfectly open to editing it so as to ameliorate it in that regard. That having been established it seems that for the sake of honesty and full disclosure I must admit what my own opinions about the subject matter are. Sam T. Francis worked for Pat Buchanan author of Hitler, Churchill and the War that no one wanted:How Britain lost an Empire and the world lost the West as well as of Did Hitler want war?. Those works in my opinion are enough to establish that despite his protestations Pat Buchanan is an apologist for Adolf Hitler. I also consider Buchanan’s denial of the historical fact that there were gas chambers at Treblinka to be borderline Holocaust denial. Buchanan’s defence of sending Ronald Reagan to visit a Nazi cemetery is something at which we should all cringe. Buchanan also blamed the first Persian Gulf War on Israel and the Jewish lobby which, considering that American Jews like Michael Waltzer were at the forefront of the opposition to the war and that George HW Bush and Yitzhak Shamir never saw eye to eye about the conflict is an idiotic belief, and I would consider Buchanan’s dissemination of that conspiracy theory demonstrably anti-Semitic. So for me the very fact that Sam T. Francis worked for Pat Buchanan is itself a red flag. Not to mention Professor George Michael, who has a Wikipedia page but not a Simple English Wikipedia page and is an expert on the radical right regarded Francis as an extremist and as a dangerous one. Michael Brendan Dougherty, a conservative journalist who now works for the National Review repudiated Sam T. Francis back then and in 2016 blamed Francis for the campaign of Donald Trump, though admittedly with a number of exceptions such as Jonah Goldberg the National Review has gotten more pro-Trump after he was elected. Francis also wrote for an anti-immigration website called VDARE which also published work by Jared Taylor, a self-proclaimed white nationalist who believes in the inherent superiority of Asians to white people and whites to everyone else. And I think we can all agree that that is a self-evidently racist belief. And VDARE also published work by Owen Benjamin. That Owen Benjamin. The same Owen Benjamin who responded to a tweet by someone saying that the reason for his hatred of Billy Joel was “not because he’s Jewish, it’s because he’s disgusting” by saying “No, it’s partly because he’s Jewish. And who accused Ben Shapiro of supporting “Israeli global dominance” over the needs of American veterans and commented “put on a uniform and fight in one of your Jew wars Ben” with regard to Shapiro’s ideas about foreign policy. He also said “If my son died in one of Ben Shapiro’s Jew wars, I’d fucking kill the guy”. And who criticized Richard B. Spencer for being, from Owen Benjamin’s perspective overly pro-gay. In other words he’s a horrible person. And VDARE was started by Peter Brimelow who said that immigration has turned California into a Hispanic slum and that the Republicans should only care about white voters. So in other words, due to his writings and affiliations I consider Sam T. Francis an egregious racist. It is possible that that has led to a bias against him within what I wrote in which case I am uncertain what I can do about that as I actually worked quite hard to prevent such a bias from creeping in. And if it were because of a bias towards him, I don’t how I could possibly have that considering that I hate him.
