As with Wikipedia a separate History of Spain is probably a good idea. The history can be dealt with in only a paragraph in this article, and go to the detailed history for those who care. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.177.81.xxx (talkcontribs) 20:51, 28 October 2003 (UTC)Reply

Confusing sentence change

One sentence reads: "Charles V involved Spain into defend his the empire from the protestant religious wars."

I'd like to reword this, but I'm having a difficult time understanding what this means. Any ideas? Kansan (talk) 06:26, 18 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

How about, "Charles V of Spain defended his empire from the protestant religious wars."? I doubt if it really means that, but just a guess by rewording the sentence a bit. Belle tête-à-tête 06:28, 18 June 2010 (UTC)Reply

The ranking of cities is confusing change

Hello, that ranking is not a real city ranking but area ranking, Gijón and Oviedo or Elche and Alicante are different cities. So, one of both, or only single cities should be listed or the table should be renamed to "Greater areas" (like Greater Tokyo Area including Yokohama). --Poco a poco (talk) 08:22, 28 May 2011 (UTC)Reply

I tried to solve it. I'm not sure if "greater area" would be understood that way by a simple english reader, so I went with "city area" or "city + surrounding area" and tried to explain. Everybody, feel free to improve. --Cmontero (talk) 19:32, 8 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
