.... This is supposed to be simple?

I see many examples of technical/specialist english here. I do not think those learning english could understand it. Someone translate this thing. I don't know the rules for simple english. When I write I write in American English. I would just add more confusion. 64.6.88.31 (talk) 17:11, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Then use American English. Simple English is really simple. Make short sentences and avoid words that have many different meanings. And please do create an account. --Eptalon (talk) 17:28, 4 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
And why would anyone think that a problem which has puzzled people for over two millennia could be made simple? Macdonald-ross (talk) 11:56, 10 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

refs rule change

I appreciate the recent improvements. However, direct refs to articles in English wiki are not permitted by our rules, so refs 3 and 6 must come out. Often we just cannot cover the entire ground that an English wiki article would cover. Anyway, rules are rules! The community is not likely to change this one.
