Temperature (song)
"Temperature" is the third single off of Jamaican dancehall musician Sean Paul's third studio album The Trinity. The song was released on 5 December 2005.

The song was able to make it to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the European Hot 100 Singles, #2 on the Hot Rap Songs, #2 on the Pop 100, #2 on the Rhythmic, #5 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, and #10 on the Hot Latin Songs charts.[1][2][3][4][5] The song was certified 3× Platinum by both Music Canada and the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The ringtone was certified 3× and 2× by Music Canada and the RIAA respectively.[6][7]
In the song, Paul sings about a woman and telling her he can hold her close and comfort her. He also said that it had another meaning and it was about keeping somebody safe from the violence that was taking place in Jamaica at that time. Paul said that when creating the song, he freestyled parts of it.[8]
A music video for the song was released. It was directed by Little X. The video goes through all of the seasons. Paul dances with women with leaves falling, in the snow, and under an umbrella in the rain. The women lay on the beach while beachball fly through the air. At the end of the song, Paul performs his sign "Breakout" while in a club. The video was shot in Toronto.[8]
