Usage
Template:ISO 639 name iu is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code iu, for example: {{Translated page |iu |name of page at Inuktitut Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Inuktitut Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Inuktitut Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |iu}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|iu| some text in Inuktitut}} wraps the text with <span lang="iu"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Inuktitut-language text. Also available is {{Lang-iu |some text in Inuktitut}} which displays as Inuktitut: some text in Inuktitut.
- {{R from other language|iu|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Inuktitut-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|iu}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Inuktitut-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
