Usage
Template:ISO 639 name lo is part of a series that resolves the ISO 639-1, ISO 639-2 and ISO 639-3 codes to language names.
It is used by {{Translated page}} with language code lo, for example: {{Translated page |lo |name of page at Lao Wikipedia}}. This template is used to generate a link to the Lao Wikipedia and could be used to include pages in Category:Pages translated from Lao Wikipedia (may be created using {{Translated sub-cat |lo}}).
Former usage
The following templates now use Module:Lang, which stores the language code and name data in Module:Language/data/iana languages, Module:Language/data/ISO 639-3, and Module:Language/data/wp languages.
- {{Lang|lo| some text in Lao}} wraps the text with <span lang="lo"> and includes articles in Category:Articles containing Lao-language text. Also available is {{Lang-lo |some text in Lao}} which displays as Lao: some text in Lao.
- {{R from other language|lo|("to" language code)}} includes pages in Category:Redirects from Lao-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect from alternative language category}}).
- {{R from alternative language|("from" language code)|lo}} includes pages in Category:Redirects to Lao-language terms (may be created using {{Redirect to alternative language category}}).
