Hi, I hope you don't mind but I read the article you are creating on leopards. I found it interesting but with some words needing simplification. Please note that we already have an article on the Leopard and that you will need to skilfully merge new information from your article into that article. To write a featured article there are rules, one of which is that many different editors must have helped you write the article. It won't pass if it's just been written by you alone. I'll help out by doing the copyediting and adding tags where I think you need to simplify and add sources etc.. :) fr33kman 13:23, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

I've started with some copyediting and template tagging such as {{explain}} where wording is too complex. I've changed a few words to more simple alternatives and linked a lot of terms to articles or to wiktionary words. I'd remind you that when you are talking about dimensions (weight, size, etc...) please use the {{cvt}} or {{convert}} template so you only need to add one unit (i.e.: 10g) and it will automatically convert the units to imperial or metric for you. I'll do more later today. Also, make sure that you read the current Leopard article so you know what not to duplicate and get an idea of how you will merge new information to it. It would be bad form to just copy and paste your article over top of what is already there and is already the work of multiple editors. Good luck! :) fr33kman 14:09, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

Featured article --> Very good article

It's my recommendation that to begin with you simply attempt to write a decent article on the subject and then focus on promotion to a good article later on. FYI, on the Simple English Wikipedia we use the term Very good article rather than "Featured article" because it's simpler to read. Getting an article to VGA status is very hard and it'd be better to focus on the good article level. Not at present

It isn't an adequate article at present. The obvious overlap with lions is an example. The article has to explain leopards' distribution in relation to their prey and their competition. Macdonald-ross (talk) 08:42, 5 October 2023 (UTC)
