This is a version of en:WP:Words to watch. I started working to simplify it for use at Simple English Wikipedia because I have been seeing a lot of articles with text that violates the various sections. I would like to get this simplified and publish it. I invite comments about whether the community agrees with this goal. --Auntof6 (talk) 10:38, 20 July 2013 (UTC)Reply

Agree: I was, just moments ago, looking here on Simple for puffery or PEACOCK for something I wanted to delete or reword. I went ahead and used 'hyped puffery' in my edit summary. I definitely agree it is worthy to bring the entire MOS "Words to watch" material here in simplified form. Fylbecatulous talk 15:46, 20 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
Good idea. I might put the following in a box at the end of the lead before anything else: First, be sure to use only Simple English words.
I also played around with the peacock section a bit. Revert if you don't like. StevenJ81 (talk) 14:03, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
It looks fine -- thanks for the help! --Auntof6 (talk) 20:28, 23 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
