Westward Expansion Trails
land route, generally a rough trail, used over time for human migration from one region to another, especially in westward expansion in the U.S.
The Westward Expansion Trails were wagon roads that settlers used to travel from the eastern United States to California, Oregon and other western parts of the United States during the 19th century.

About 500,000 people traveled on these trails and about 50,000 people died.[1]
