Wikipedia:Editor review/Lauryn Ashby

Lauryn Ashby (talk · contribs) I can't recall ever having an editor review, and I'm rather curious as to what the community thinks that I could improve on. I don't edit as much as I admin, so if you have comments about either, I would be appreciative. A link to my logs for those interested. Lauryn (utc) 01:02, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In looking at your edits, I don't see a lot of mainspace edits, but I don't view this as a negative, because there are a lot of other tasks that need to be done. This site seems to always be slammed with vandalism, and when you're online, you often surprise me in how quick you can deal with this. I think that responding vandalism is more urgent than other editing, so I don't see this as a problem. Indeed, you still do have time to improve articles here and there, whether by entering information or by converting references into the citeweb format (which I am still improving at using myself). Overall, I'm impressed by the variety of ways that you have found to contribute to this project while still keeping a positive attitude (which has no doubt been difficult lately for various reasons, including the personal attacks toward you and the other drama going on here). • Yes, Lauryn, you're a really great editor here! Kansan so eloquently and so truthfully reviewed you, I have little more to say. Your amazingly quick quick deletion (you often delete pages faster than I can QD them), your helpfulness, your knowledge of Wikipedia and participation in every part of Simple has made me admire you as an editor very much. Please keep it up! You've also helped me exceedingly patiently and kindly in all my questions and inexperience. If you would but shew others equal gentleness and delightful delicacy as you have shewn towards me, I could scarcely name anything else you could improve in. Your strength of judgment and chearful promptness is invaluable, and once again, please keep up your great edits! Yours very sincerely, & with admiration, Classical Esther 08:55, 17 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Probably my current work with Bill Ayers as well as the several DYKs that I've contributed. I also think I'm relatively quick to respond to vandalism and issue warnings and blocks when needed.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
Nothing really comes to mind, though if anyone thinks of anything please bring it up. Cheers, Lauryn (utc) 01:05, 16 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
