2001 Bangladesh–India border clashes

A conflict in April 2021 along the Indian-Bangladesh border

The 2001 Indian-Bangladeshi border conflict was a short armed conflict between India and Bangladesh over the poorly marked International border between the countries during 2001. Over the issue of Indians trespassing and invaded Bangladeshi territories.

The clashes began on 16 April 2001, when a force of around 800 to a 1000 Bangladeshi Paramilitary soldiers attacked and captured Padua/Pyrdiwah village, breaking the status quo and forcing the civilians there to flee.[1][2]
