Andry Rajoelina

President of Madagascar (2009–2014; 2019–2023; since 2023)

Andry Nirina Rajoelina (Malagasy: [ˈjanɖʐʲ nʲˈrinə radzoˈel]; born 30 May 1974) is a politician and businessman. He is was 6th President of Madagascar since December 2023. He was previously president from January 2019 to September 2023.

He was the Mayor of Antananarivo from December 2007 to February 2009, and President of the High Transitional Authority of Madagascar from 21 March 2009 to 25 January 2014.

In June 2023, the revelation of French nationality led to the opening of a parliamentary inquiry, followed by the questioning of the High Constitutional Court by a group of citizens of the Malagasy diaspora in France.[1].
