Asians were 7% of the United Kingdom's population in 2011.[1] The ancestors of most Asian people in Britain lived in South Asia. Many British Asians are British Indians, British Pakistanis, or British Bangladeshis (from South Asia). Most others are British Chinese (from China) and others come from other countries in Asia.
