Candyman is an upcoming American supernatural slasher horror movie directed by Nia DaCosta and written by Jordan Peele. It is a direct sequel to the 1992 movie of the same name and the fourth movie in the Candyman franchise. It is based on the short story "The Forbidden" by Clive Barker.

The movie stars Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Teyonah Parris, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Colman Domingo, with Tony Todd and Vanessa A. Williams reprising their roles as the title character and Anne-Marie McCoy.

The movie was filmed in Chicago and takes place there.[1] It is set to be released in the United States on September 25, 2021, by Universal Pictures.[2]
