Chiayi County

Chiayi County (Chinese: 嘉義縣; pinyin: Jiāyì Xiàn) is a county in Taiwan. It is in the southwest of the island. It surrounds Chiayi City but does not include it. The seat of the county's government is in Taibao City. Chiayi County is the sixth largest county in Taiwan. The National Chung Cheng University and Alishan are in this county.
