Croc: legend of the Gobbos

1997 video game

Croc: Legend of the Gobbos is a platforming video game created by Argonaut Games in 1997. It was made for the PlayStation, and versions of it were later created for the Sega Saturn and for Microsoft Windows computers. The game stars Croc, a green crocodile, who must save his friends, the Gobbos, from the evil Baron Dante.

The game was originally created as a game with Yoshi, a character from Nintendo's Super Mario series of video games. However, Nintendo did not allow the creators to use the character, so a brand new character was created instead.[1] Croc: Legend of the Gobbos sold well, and was a success for Argonaut. A second game was made in 1999, called Croc 2.[2]
