Dorothy Brown (born September 4, 1953) is an American lawyer and politician associated with the Democratic Party who served as the clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook County from 2000 through 2020.

In April 2018, while under federal investigation, Brown announced her plans to run for Mayor of Chicago in the 2019 election.[1] In January 2019, the Chicago Board of Elections rejected her petitions and will not be on the ballot in the February 2019 election.
