Eau de toilette

lightly scented perfume used as a skin freshener

Eau de toilette is a kind of perfume used to make skin smell nice.[1] It is also called "aromatic waters". It is based on alcohol, its main ingredient.[2] It is usually used on the skin after bathing or shaving.[3] It is considered a "weak" and cheap version of perfume.[4] Toilet water is defined as a dilute perfume (perfume is only ingredient mixed with alcohol and few other lowering the production cost).[5][6] It was originally composed of alcohol and various volatile oils.[7]
