Environmental geology

science of the practical application of geology in environmental problems.

Environmental geology is a type of science that focuses on solving environmental problems.[1][2] Environmental geology includes studying the Earth with geomorphology and dealing with industrial and domestic waste disposal.[3] This is to lower the effects of pollution. It is also for managing natural resources such as fossil fuels, minerals and water.[4]

Environmental geologists might try to find a way to lower pollution caused power plants, like this one in New Mexico.
