Der Gemeinde ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Arnsberg vom 15. März 1976 das Recht zur Führung eines Wappens, eines Siegels und eines Banners verliehen worden.

Die grün-silberne Mauerpyramide weist auf den grünen Dolomitstein hin, der bei Anröchte abgebaut wird. Der Adler soll auf die Familie von Anröchte weisen, eine Seitenlinie der Grafen von Arnsberg.
English: „Or, above a mural pyramid chequy vert and Argent a leaking out eagle sable.“ The arms were granted on May 11, 1939 and again on March 15, 1976. The eagle is taken from the arms of the Knights of Anröchte, a branch of the Counts of Arnsberg (who also used an eagle), who lived in the town in the 13th-15th century. The base shows the local green-blue dolomite mountain, which is quarried and exported.
