Deutsch: Der Stadt Bad Münstereifel ist mit Urkunde des Regierungspräsidenten in Köln vom 27.03.1972 die Genehmigung zur Führung eines Wappens, eines Siegels, und einer Flagge erteilt worden. „Geteilt von Gold (Gelb) und Rot, oben ein wachsender rotgezungter und rot bewehrter schwarzer Löwe, unten ein goldener fünfzackiger Stern.“ Das Wappen entstammt einem Schöffelsiegel aus dem Jahre 1555. Es zeigt den Löwen der Landesherren, der Grafen und späteren Herzöge von Jülich (Jülicher Löwe) mit dem Stern, der ein Symbol für die städtische Gerichtsbarkeit ist.
English: „The arms were granted on March 27, 1972. The town grew around a monastery and became a city in 1200. The arms are probably a combination of the arms of the Counts of Jülich and a symbol of the judgement in the town, the star. Both already appear in the seals from the early 1555.“
