Object history

Deutsch: Das Wappen wurde am 17. November 1981 von der Bezirksregierung Detmold genehmigt. Die Windmühlenflügel stammen aus dem Wappen des ehemaligen Amtes Hartum, auf dessen Gebiet es zahlreiche Windmühlen gab und noch heute gibt. Die Moorkolben stammen aus dem Wappen der ehemaligen Gemeinde Hille, in deren Gebiet sich das Hiller Moor befindet; die Nutzung dieses Moores durch den Torfstich war früher für das Wirtschaftsleben der Gemeinde von Bedeutung. Die Verbindung von Rot und Silber will an die jahrhundertealte Zugehörigkeit des Gebietes zum Fürstbistum Minden erinnern.

English: The arms were last granted on November 17, 1981.The windmill sail are taken from the arms of the Amt Hartum. The burushes are taken from the former arms of Hille, they symbolise the moors in the municipality. The colours are those of the Bishopric of Minden.
