Object history
Deutsch: Der Hauptpfahl, der in verkürzter Form in das Schildhaupt aufgenommen wurde, stammt aus dem Wappen Ulrichs von Mendorf, der 1339 als erster Besitzer der Burg Oberdolling belegt ist. Die Wasserburg bestand wohl schon im 12. Jahrhundert. 1442 wird Oberdolling erstmals als Hofmark bezeichnet. Die Besitzer wechselten häufig. Die im Dreißigjährigen Krieg zerstörte Burg wurde nach 1649 vom neuen Eigentümer, dem Jesuitenkolleg Ingolstadt, als stattliche Schlossanlage wiederaufgebaut. Der Löwenrumpf ist aus dem Wappen der Freiherren von Hegnenberg-Dux übernommen, die 1692 ihre Hofmark Oberhaunstadt mit den Jesuiten gegen die Hofmark Oberdolling tauschten. Die Hofmark blieb bis zu ihrer Auflösung 1821 in Familienbesitz der Hegnenberg-Dux.
