Object history Der Weidenzweig über dem blauen Wellenbalken steht redend für den Ortsnamen. Markgraf Albrecht Achilles von Brandenburg erwarb 1469 Schloss und Gut Triesdorf. Die Markgrafen bauten den Ort zu ihrer Sommerresidenz aus und richteten auch einen Wildpark ein. Markgraf Karl Wilhelm Friedrich betrieb hier mit Leidenschaft die Falkenjagd. In der einstigen Menagerie ist heute das Institut für Vogelkunde der Bayerischen Landesanstalt für Landwirtschaft untergebracht. Daran erinnern der Falke sowie die Farben Silber und Schwarz aus dem markgräflichen Wappen. Das Pflugmesser weist auf die landwirtschaftliche Struktur des Gemeindegebiets hin.
