Español: Paragneis sedimentario (roca gris claro) intruida por dos generaciones de diques de color oscuro. Primero por gabro y luego por diabasa. Entre estos dos episodios de intrusion también se puede ver una pequeño dique de pegmatita (de color claro) cerca del faro. Imagen de las Islas Koster en Suecia. Svenska: Äldst här är en grå sedimentgnejs som deformerades, upphettades, och delvis smälte för ca 1 560 miljoner år sedan i den gotiska bergskedjebildningen (ej smälta fragment av syns i berget). I dess slutfas trängde en gabbromagma in, en blandbergart bildades; rundade bollar av mörk gabbro i ljusgrå gnejs, eller ljusa nätverk av smält sedimentgnejs i gabbron. En yngre gråvit pegmatitgång slår igenom blandbergarten vid fyrtornen. Gångar av den ännu yngre svarta Kosterdiabasen skär genom alla bergarter.
