| Description |
X 200 English: Sporulating Hyaloperonospora parasitica (downy mildew) growing in the leaf of Arabidopsis thaliana (cf.wikipedia) seen by bright-field microscopy. The staining with trypan blue makes the cytoplasm of H. parasitica dark blue. The 'tree' structure holding conidiospores is called conidiophore. This is the last step of the short life cycle of H. parasitica.
