Edgar, c.943-75. Edgar in the mid-fifteenth century chapel of All Souls College, Oxford. The stained glaas is original apart from Edgar's head, which was replaced with one made by Clayton and Bell in 1855. (Hutchinson, F. E. (1949). Medieval Glass at All Souls College. London, UK: Faber and Faber. OCLC 1269744, pp. 13, 49, 53). "The large stained glass window [containing this image] in the west wall is known as the Royal Window."
