English: A monument by Hozumi Bridge located in Uwajima, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. The bridge was named after Nobushige Hozumi, a Japanese jurisconsult and a founder of Chuo University, who was born in the city. His word is carved on the monument, which says, "I would rather be a bridge used by everyone than be a statue." |
