Gaza superba is a species of deep sea sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Trochidae, the top snails.[1]

Description change

The shell is 2,5 to 4 cm. in width and present a spire somewhat elavated. Apex open in adult. Umbilicus about 75% covered by callus. The color of the shelll is old ivory a Golden sheen. The early whorls faintly wine colored. The operculum is circular and yellow to brown colors[2][3][4][5][6][7]

Distribution change

Caribbean and Gulf of Mexico.[7]

Habitat change

Muddy sand bottom; from 380 to 925 m depth, mostly around 600 m depth.[7]
